You are invited to join the Unsworth community on the evening of Wednesday, May 14th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for ‘Art for Others’.  The focus of this evening is an opportunity for our students to take part in a global citizenship initiative.  As children, they often believe that they cannot create change in the world.  Through the making of a special art project to sell, they are able to see how even small acts of kindness can create big change.  The students at Unsworth have been working hard to create their special art project.  They are aware that the art that they have created is to benefit others in need and may be purchased by someone other than their own family.  They understand that if a stranger buys their art, it is an enormous compliment. The art will be displayed throughout the hallways of Unsworth.  Families are encouraged to stroll through the ‘galleries’ and admire the variety of pieces for sale. The money raised will be donated to the Chilliwack Starfish Backpack program. Starfish supports weekend hunger relief for students with a healthy assortment of meals and snacks in a convenient pack.  Come out for a fun evening of visual arts, snacks and treats, all for a good cause!
